Its been over 10 years since Vanity Fair did an entire issue devoted to Television. But with TV’s Second Wave officially upon us the idea was a no brainer. And it doesn’t hurt that the current slate of TV stars include a number of the most beautiful women (and men) on earth … many of whom are just starting incredibly promising careers.

Vanity Fair asked me to bring the issue to life by interviewing every single star from the TV Issue and mashing up the candid responses for a series of exclusive videos. Highlights are below. You can see all the videos at VanityFair.com

NIKO – “THE DADDY” – MUSIC VIDEO

Nothing like teaming up with old friends to create exciting new work!!

UK singing sensation Niko and I go all the way back to the first grade in Seattle. None-the-less, I was honored when she called me in to direct the music video for her new single “The Daddy” featuring NYC hip-hop legends Q-Ball and Curt Cazal. Although the the ATIC Records siren calls the UK home, there was only one place to shoot this video: the streets, alleys and bridges of New York City.

Huge thanks to the Think / Feel crew for making it happen. Gregg Conde & Bryan Parker shooting. Chell Stephen editing. Breanna Williams did amazing hair/makeup/styling. Sam Winter, Ryan O’Conner and Gabby Colletta hooked up the Production!

ZOOEY DESCHANEL FOR ALLURE

I spent the day with the newly single “New Girl” Zooey Deschanel and got her take on fashion, haircuts and music. Despite clowning me for not knowing shit about women’s beauty products, Zooey was lovely to work with, down to earth and had A GREAT PLAYLIST for the photoshoot. AND the photos (Norman Jean Roy) are great!

You just can’t deny Nicole Scherzinger’s natural beauty! In this video the X Factor princess was given an Allure minimalist makeover by makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Anderson and hair stylist Diego Da Silva.

I spent a lovely day on the beach in Malibu with Rooney Mara – the star of Fincher’s Millennium Trilogy. Despite already being transformed for the role of Lisbeth Salander, Mara still looks amazing in these photographs. Rob Talty and Kate Lee did masterful work with hair and makeup.

This video with Drew Barrymore, for Neiman Marcus’ Art of Fashion Campaign, is one of my favorites. Turns out, not only is Drew one of the sweetest people I’ve met, we also share matching tattoos.
