I spent the day with the newly single “New Girl” Zooey Deschanel and got her take on fashion, haircuts and music. Despite clowning me for not knowing shit about women’s beauty products, Zooey was lovely to work with, down to earth and had A GREAT PLAYLIST for the photoshoot. AND the photos (Norman Jean Roy) are great!

You just can’t deny Nicole Scherzinger’s natural beauty! In this video the X Factor princess was given an Allure minimalist makeover by makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Anderson and hair stylist Diego Da Silva.

I spent a lovely day on the beach in Malibu with Rooney Mara – the star of Fincher’s Millennium Trilogy. Despite already being transformed for the role of Lisbeth Salander, Mara still looks amazing in these photographs. Rob Talty and Kate Lee did masterful work with hair and makeup.

I’ve directed videos with some of the most extraordinary women during the past few years of shooting for Vogue, Allure and Vanity Fair. This video with Drew Barrymore, for Neiman Marcus’ Art of Fashion Campaign, is one of my favorites. Turns out, not only is Drew one of the sweetest people I’ve met, we also share matching tattoos.

You’ve likely seen Sofia Vergara in Modern Family, but you’ve never seen her like this. Watch as the Columbian actress channels Sophia Lauren for the amazing photographer Norman Jean Roy.
